Our Mission

Our Mission is to help children and their families break the cycle of poverty they are stuck in. We do this by providing the children with a healthy meal Monday-Saturday, putting them into private school, an after school tutoring program and extra curriculars like boxing/wrestling/dance. Our sister business, Good Threads, employs their parents.

Our Approach

Breaking the cycle of poverty for families is a difficult and complex undertaking that requires a multi-pronged approach.

Our Accomplishments

We currently provide a healthy lunch to over 650 children a Monday-Saturday.

Our History

We opened our doors in Esperanza, Dominican Republic, in October 2010 with 43 members.

Good Threads

Shortly after founding the Joan Rose Foundation it became extremely apparent that if we were going to help our children long term we needed to stabilize their households and to stabilize their household we needed to employ their mothers.
