Good Threads

Founded by David Palmer and his brother Tim Palmer, Good Threads is a for-profit company devoted to helping impoverished people in Esperanza, Dominican Republic through the manufacturing and selling of needlepoint products. Good Threads’ primary goal is to provide a well-paying job for their employees and a steady stream of income for the Joan Rose Foundation.

Good Threads currently employs 25 women, most of whom are Haitian immigrants living in the Dominican Republic who do not have access to the basic assistance provided by the Dominican Republic to its citizens. Good Threads provides these women with micro loans, banking services and medical services. To date Good Threads has funded three life-saving medical procedures for family members of employees.

Good Threads provides the Joan Rose Foundation enough money to feed a child 3 meals a day for an entire month with every needlepoint belt sold.
